मिस वर्ल्ड को हिंदी में विश्व सुंदरी कहते हैं
मिस वर्ल्ड और मिस यूनिवर्स में अंतर जानने से पहले ये जानते हैं कि मिस वर्ल्ड और मिस यूनिवर्स क्या है। मिस वर्ल्ड को हिंदी में विश्व सुंदरी कहते हैं ये एक प्रतियोगिता है जो हर साल महिलाओं के लिए आयोजित की जाती है। जिसमें कई देशों की महिलाएं भाग लेती हैं। इसके बाद उनके चेहरे, बॉडी लैंग्वेज, सेंस ऑफ हुमर और प्रतिभाओं को जज किया जाता है। इसके बाद जूरी मेंबर्स मिलकर विश्व की एक सबसे सुदंर लड़की का चुनाव करते हैं।

मिस यूनिवर्स को ब्रह्माण्ड सुन्दरी कहते हैं। ये भी मिस वर्ल्ड की तरह होने वाली प्रतियोगिता है जो हर साल मिस यूनिवर्स संगठन द्वारा आयोजित की जाती है। इसकी स्थापना एक कपड़े की कम्पनी पेसेफिक मिल्स द्वारा 1952 में कैलिफोर्निया में की गई थी। मिस यूनिवर्स प्रतियोगिता साल 1952 में पहली बार आयोजित की गई थी। इसमें भी मिस वर्ल्ड की तरह ही ब्रह्माण्ड की सबसे सुंदर लड़की का चुनाव किया जाता है।
मिस वर्ल्ड की प्रेसिडेंट जूलिया मोर्ले हैं और ये इनके पति एलिक मोर्ले द्वारा इसकी शुरूआत की गई थी। वहीं, मिस यूनिवर्स की प्रेसिडेंट पौला शोगार्ट हैं और इससे पहले इसके प्रेसिडेंट डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प रह चुके हैं।
मिस वर्ल्ड 1951 में पहली बार यूनाइटेड किंगडम में आयोजित किया गया था।
मिस वर्ल्ड और मिस यूनिवर्स दोनों ही हर साल होने वाली अंतरराष्ट्रीय सौन्दर्य प्रतियोगिता है। दोनों ने प्रतियोगिता के आर्गेनाइजर अलग अलग देशों के हैं। मिस वर्ल्ड 1951 में पहली बार यूनाइटेड किंगडम में आयोजित किया गया था। वहीं, मिस यूनिवर्स 1952 में कैलिफ़ोर्निया, यूनाइटेड स्टेट्स में आयोजित किया गया था।
मिस वर्ल्ड का ख़िताब सबसे ज्यादा वेनेज़ुला ने जीता है
मिस वर्ल्ड से ज्यादा मिस यूनिवर्स प्रतियोगिता में 100 से भी अधिक देशों की महिलाएं भाग लेतीं हैं। मिस वर्ल्ड का ख़िताब सबसे ज्यादा वेनेज़ुला ने जीता है जबकि मिस यूनिवर्स के अधिकतर खिताब USA ने जीते हैं।
